Treads, is a social entrepreneurial venture that transforms waste tires into wearable sandals. Treads seeks to empower low-skilled workers in Detroit with work experience and vital skills.As the Creative director of Treads, I had the privilege of designing the company's identity and creating the sandal. Treads is now a non-profit initiative operated by Cass Community Social Services in the city of Detroit.

Detroit Treads was a group of University of Michigan students working on a project to make footwear from recycled rubber tries normally left to waste in Detroit. The group consists of Mr. Tian Lian, Mr. Kirk Goodman and Ms. Julia Tan. The cause is a prime example of the importance of combining disciplines when seeking to make a change in society.

Scope included: ideation, prototype testing, business and community development. branding and campaign design.
